German Buttercream

If you are not a fan of heavy, or overly sweet buttercream you really need to try this buttercream. German Buttercream it’s light, silky smooth with a subtle sweetness. You can use it to fill cream puffs, cakes or pastries.

INGREDIENTS

CUSTARD
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
4 egg yolks
3 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp flour
2 cups room temperature butter
1 cup powdered sugar use more for sweeter buttercream
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
1/8 tsp salt
